The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer ("CAO") works to modernize city government and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of City services.

We focus on innovating and strengthening the city's administrative functions and enabling resident-facing departments to evaluate, plan, and continually improve their service delivery.

The following departments and functions report to the


CAO:

Human Resources and Talent, Office of Innovation and Technology, Procurement, Records, Office of Administrative Review, Office of Talent & Employee Success, Service Design Studio, and Strategic Direction & Transformation.


About the Resident Service Delivery Initiative (RSDI)


On Inauguration Day, Mayor Parker signed Executive Order 2-24, launching the Resident Service Delivery Initiative (RSDI), a long-term initiative to improve resident-focused services with goal of "tangible local government that [residents] can see, touch and feel - government that is visible, responsive and effective." In this context, a service includes one or more interactions between a resident and the City, resulting in an outcome for the resident.

The Office of the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) is collaborating with the Mayor's Office of Policy Planning & Delivery (OPPD) and the Managing Director's Office (MDO) to achieve the goals of this Executive Order by implementing cohorts of service improvement projects at set intervals

Job Description Position Summary**The Assistant Chief Administrative Office - Business Process Analyst provides advanced support to the senior leadership of the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer. The position reports directly to the First Deputy Chief Administrative officer and manages business process related projects as well as develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external agencies and organizations. Extensive familiarity with overseeing and assessing existing processes and workflows while considering interdependencies, procedures, and requirements. Ability to manage multiple projects with mínimal supervision is essential.


Duties and Responsibilities - What will I be doing?

  • Optimize productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures and process maps.
  • Assemble reports to document process status and changes, measuring efficiency gains.
  • Maintain, update and drive the documentation of policy and procedures throughout the department, keeping them up to date in accordance with requirements.
  • Track metrics and make suggestions on areas for improvement.
  • Communicate findings and proposals to upper management.
  • Provide thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes.
  • Work with partners to evaluate compliance and risk assessments.
  • Provide thought leadership on business process excellence and continuous improvement. Assist in creating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop, drive, and owns Audit planning and remediation plans in coordination with business and Internal Audit. Address any audit remediation findings and participate in audit exercises to help explain the process and deliver materials.
  • Other duties as assigned
