- Review and address denials in the workflow system, payer portal, and/or clearinghouse portal on a daily basis
- Prepare appeals when required and update the collections system with detailed notes and follow-up dates
- Communicate with various departments to gather essential information as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in Medical Collections within a high-volume environment preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10 diagnosis codes, CPT medical service codes, UB-04, and HCFA-1500 forms
- Thorough understanding of medical collections compliance, including Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid managed care, Commercial, Workers Comp, and Auto-no-fault payer types
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather information from diverse sources
