**Forklift Operator / Yard Helper ($19.50/hour to start)**

**Company Description**

We currently have an opening for forklift driver / yard helper for our distribution depot in **Bayshore, NY** Ideal candidates will have previous experience in distribution or transportation, be able to work independently, enjoy customer service and have high attention to detail. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 7am - 5pm. Starting payrate is $19.50 per hour.

**Due to the nature of the work it is typical to be working both inside and outside in the elements and in all seasons.**

**Job Description**

Safely Operate forklift

Physically inspect product and build sample orders by hand.

Continually monitor and verify all aspects of product quality.

Follow established guidelines on policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Communicate any product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions with yard coordinator

Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.

Perform other related duties as assigned

Work in collaboration with other forklift drivers, truck drivers and other employees in order to achieve performance goals.

Have the knowledge, skill, and ability to operate a forklift

General Computer Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Manual dexterity

Time Management Skills
