    Position Summary

    This position supports the General Manager and leadership of KLRC in the day to day administration of the ministry. Administrative responsibilities will include managing accounts payable, compiling and generating regular budget and compliance reports, and written and verbal communication with KLRC constituents on behalf of station leadership. This position will also create an extraordinary experience for visitors and callers by greeting, welcoming, assisting and directing them appropriately.

  • Position Responsibilities

  • Timely weekly processing of accounts payable invoices, including assigning account numbers, entering payment request vouchers and digital record keeping.
  • Generates weekly and monthly internal reports for compliance with FCC and copyright royalty filings.
  • Generates monthly budget reports to assist station management in stewarding and reporting on station resources.
  • Researches, compiles, and analyzes data for special projects, reports, and purchases.
  • Handles various administrative tasks, including screening incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and providing written and verbal responses to internal and external inquiries.
  • Assist in coordinating facility maintenance and repair needs.
  • Serve in a receptionist capacity to welcome and greet visitors with a positive, helpful attitude, in person or on the phone.
  • Personally respond to visitor or caller inquiries as able or refer inquiries as appropriate.
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Previous administrative or executive support desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or significant related work experience preferred.
  • Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Job includes extended periods of time at a desk with exposure to a computer monitor and typing at a keyboard.
  • Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
  • The employee is expected to adhere to all University policies.
