We're looking for a detail-oriented
Accounts Payable Clerk
to join a growing finance team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing a high volume of invoices. If you're the kind of person who enjoys staying organized, catching errors before they become problems, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper documentation
- Review and verify invoice approvals and account coding
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments in a timely, professional manner
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Maintain vendor files and ensure records are up to date and audit-ready
- Assist with month-end closing tasks, including accruals and reconciliations
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and explanations
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes and workflow
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- A team player mentality, with the ability to also work independently
- Knowledge of 3-way match process
- Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups)
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
