Founded in 1954, Family Services of Westchester is a private, nonprofit, non-sectarian social services agency.

FSW's Head Start/Early Head Start is a federal government program that was created in 1965 to give preschool children from low-income families a "head start" on their readiness for elementary school.

JOB SUMMARY:

Family Services of Westchester is looking for a full-time Home Visitor for our White Plains, NY Head Start program. We are hiring for multiple locations throughout Westchester County.

POSITION TITLE:
Home Visitor

STATUS:
Full-time/Permanent

SUPERVISED BY:
Maria Pilco

PURPOSE:
Home-based services offer home visits and group socialization activities for parents and their children.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish a caring professional relationship with parents
Asist parents in obtaining parenting skills.
Ensure health and safety guidelines for children.
Plan and develop with parents an individualized program for the family
Work with parents to strengthen the families' knowledge of child development
Support parents with problemsolving

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA)
(required)
