Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Automation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our industrial automation systems.
This role requires strong technical expertise in automation technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance and inspections of industrial automation systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve issues in automation equipment and control systems promptly to minimize production disruptions
Programming:
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs to control machinery and processes efficiently
Equipment Installation:
Install, configure, and commission new automation equipment and systems, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment configurations, and changes made to automation systems
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance teams to implement automation solutions that improve efficiency and reliability
Safety:
Ensure that all automation systems comply with safety regulations and standards, identifying and addressing potential safety hazards
Training:
Provide training to operators and maintenance personnel on the use and maintenance of automation equipment
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation processes and systems
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as an Industrial Automation Technician or similar role. Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and robotics. Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley). Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Relevant certifications in industrial automation. Experience with predictive maintenance tools and techniques. Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies. Familiarity with data analysis and data-driven decision-making.
