    Position Overview

    To maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Dornier looms in accordance with the preventive maintenance program and all related work instructions, while producing the highest quality fabric and abiding by the standards set forth by Mermet.

    What you'll do

    The essential functions of this position may include any or all of the following to be performed primarily alone. It is essential that the PM Loom Tech spend approximately 100% of his/her time making sure all looms are in operating condition.

    • Preventative Maintenance and cleanliness of all looms
    • Prepare documentation from daily checklist and give report to supervisor
    • Perform maintenance, warp out, two-month and six-month increments
    • Documentation and checking of cut tickets for mistakes at reed cleaning and startup.
    • Insure best overall quality of fabric while insuring highest amount of fabric production.
    • Maintain housekeeping throughout the shift
    • Assist warp crew with daily functions.
    • Perform special projects with assistance of Loom Tech and Team Lead
    • Any and all other duties as assigned

    Who you are

    • GED or High School Diploma
    • Forklift License Preferred
    • Adherence to safety
    • Commitment to attendance
    • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships.
    • Ability to communicate information well both in written and verbal form.
    • Ability to work both independently with limited supervision and in a team environment.
    • Ability to perform basic computer functions
    • Ability to work and keep pace in a fast-paced environment.
    • Compliance with Hunter Douglas and Mermet policies and codes of conduct.
