POSITION OVERVIEW:
Maintenance Lead is responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used in the production of MTI products run to their maximum efficiency and output.
This includes total preventative maintenance planning/scheduling, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical and robotic equipment (including software programming), and identifying and keeping sufficient parts on hand.
This role will also be critical in helping the facility and operations drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
The maintenance lead will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and jobs within their group and working with other leads/supervisors/managers to ensure prioritization of activities is determined.
This role will also have overall facility responsibility and oversight, ensuring that we maintain a high standard for our facilities.
Provides budgetary/cost reporting and inputs to budget planning as required. Adjusts schedules as required to support the needs of production. Participates in Kaizen events and drives continuous improvement. Ensures proper clean up of work areas and closes out with affected personnel when maintenance work is completed.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the safety and quality of the maintenance and facility activities
- Comply with all EHS requirements and facility 5S guidelines
- PLC and Robot programming/troubleshooting a plus
- Maintenance and repair of facilities and mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment/systems in a manner that supports customer demands and maximizes uptime
- Manages maintenance projects
- Perform effective troubleshooting of breakdowns
- Develop and manage effective PM plans for all equipment/machines
- Manage contractor/supplier support quoting, coordination, safety training, oversight/support

- Provide accurate and concise reports to management
- Work with the team and other department members to produce effective maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
- Provide inputs and updates to company maintenance management software
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- PLC programming/troubleshooting and solid computer experience required
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with maintenance and facility responsibility background
- Familiarity with different types of manufacturing equipment desired
- Good manual dexterity and adept in use of hand and precision measuring tools
- Understands the commercial importance the impact of failures and downtime have on cost, production and customer delivery
- Availability to work offshift hours (2nd/3rd shift and weekends) as required
