Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Collector to join our team.

As a Medical Collector, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate collection of medical payments from patients and insurance companies.

This is a vital role in our organization, as it directly impacts our financial success and the overall satisfaction of our patients.


Duties:


  • Review and analyze medical records, coding, and billing information to identify outstanding balances
  • Contact patients and insurance companies to follow up on unpaid claims or outstanding balances
  • Utilize medical office systems to track and manage collections activities
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
  • Process appeals and denials from insurance companies
  • Collaborate with medical billing team to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues
  • Stay uptodate with changes in medical coding (ICD10) and billing regulations

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in medical collection or related field
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD9, and ICD10 coding systems
  • Proficient in using medical office systems for collections activities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Detailoriented with strong analytical skills
