Position

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector conducts raw material, packaging and component sampling, label and packaging inspections and dimensional testing to ensure products comply with Company policies and standard operating procedures (BOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.

They issue and control the labels and packaging while being responsible for following all quality control procedures and ensuring all documentation meets cGMP standards.

Perform Incoming tasks including, sampling, inspections, and quality attributes testing designed. Performs all tasks in a safe manner observing cGMP and quality standards.

Monitors product quality through the performance of required visual testing and additional testing as needed.
Performs routine inspections on the production line.
Ensures routine compliance of daytoday activities in the sampling and inspection areas; working with operations personnel to achieve compliance.
Reviews the required paperwork for accuracy and compliance, upon completion of the activity.
Collects representative samples for testing and retention, and ensure all relevant paperwork is complete.
Submits samples/resamples to laboratory in a timely fashion to meet production needs.
Inspects and approves packaging components.
Ensures all work performed is documented accurately and completely on forms, and other documents.
Maintains a clean and safe environment in compliance with State and Federal regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Determines acceptability, condition, and physical tests of product raw material & disposition of finished goods.
Performs visual inspections to ensure products meet specs in terms of dimension, color, and physical appearance.
Ensures cGMP and quality practices are performed in operations.
Performs incoming material and inprocess line checks.
Ensures and enforces GMP compliance throughout the production floor.
Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime when needed.
Work in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers' procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications:

13 years of QC inspector experience preferred.
Detail and quality oriented.
Ability to follow written procedures.
Must possess the ability to work independently as well as with others.
Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime when needed.
Must have an understanding of Quality System functions, Process Control, SPC, and Labeling Control.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 520 pounds frequently.
Ability to lift 3050 pounds infrequently.
Reach and lift overhead.
Crouch and lift from floor level.
Operate a pallet jack.
Walk, stand, or sit up to 95% of the time.
Work in temperatures between 50° F to 85° F.
Must have close distance, color, and peripheral vision abilities along with depth perception.

PPE Required:

Chemical resistant glasses/goggles, gloves, apron, sleeves
Smock, shoe covers, dust mask
