    Come join our team as a Material Handler/Driver In this role, you will work to prepare, list and transport material to and from the Nordson East Providence, RI facility while driving company vehicles.


    How You Will Make an Impact:
    Load and unload trucks, deliver materials to the appropriate person or location.

    Effectively communicate with supervisors, managers and other personnel on transportation issuesPlan and prioritize work to complete all scheduled and non-scheduled activities in a timely manner.

    Communicate inventory discrepancies to Inventory ManagerKeep inventory well organized in the designated areas by warehouse locations.
    Represent EFD with local suppliers and customers in a safe, professional manner.
    Maintain & operate company vehicles with the utmost care and safety.

    Ensure cleanliness andContribute to the success of team by submitting improvement ideas, identifying potential problems, providing feedback on procedure changes and by displaying a positive, cooperative attitude in working with others.

    Operate material handling equipment in a safe manner.
    Operate forklift, other lift trucks and shrink wrapper in accordance with safety standards.
    Comply with all relevant ISO procedures.

    Shift Available:
    1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:30am - 4:00pm

    Qualifications To Be Successful:
    High School diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year of material handling experience in a fast-paced environment, preferred.
    Operating a company vehicle 50% of the time is a requirement for this roleDOT Medical Certificate (health card) requiredForklift experience is necessaryExcellent communication skillsSuperior organizational skillsBasic computer skills needed to accurately enter data for inventory controlAbility to read, write & speak in English along with basic math skills (must be able to accurately count and multiply)Attention to detail is a mustMust have the ability to be flexible with work schedule, including the ability to work overtime


    TRAVEL REQUIRED:
    Estimated: 50% (Local travel is part of this job. Material transport is done via Nordson trucks.)Working Conditions and Physical DemandsManufacturing environment.
