We are a 100 plus year-old privately-owned company looking for amazing people to become our next generation of account managers.
A successful candidate in this role will be responsible for getting to know our customers, learning about their business, uncovering the products and services that we could sell to those customers to help them achieve their goals.
The successful candidate is someone is driven, very competitive, wants to be the best, gets along with people, likes to learn and is motivated not only to be the best but also by helping their team win.
The fun part is that our company sells a wide array of products to an incredibly broad range of customers.
We sell everything from office products including paper and envelopes to specialty label papers used in food and beverage packaging.
We also sell packaging supplies from corrugated boxes used by companies to ship e-commerce orders to aluminum cans used by craft beverage companies (breweries, distilleries, coffee roasters and more).
We also sell cutting edge equipment into the sign and garment decorating spaces as well.Our account managers not only take the lead in managing a customer relationship profitably, but they are also responsible for uncovering the opportunities that exist at all our customers/prospects and then working with our team of specialists to help deliver solutions to customers that meet their needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Present and sell company products and services to current and new customers in order to achieve profitable growth and GP
Develop, maintain and foster strong strategic relationships with key customers
Foster solid business partnerships by professionally representing the face of the company in all customer interactions
Balance relationships between customers and Millcraft resources by serving as liaison between the customer and the company
Provide support, guidance and direction to Customer Services Representatives in relation to your existing and potential customer base including but not limited to standard order specifications, pricing, quality, etc.
Identify and vigorously pursue new customers. Develop relationships through prospecting, qualifying, lead generation, trade shows, networking including social media activity, and all others that will serve the advancement and growth of new and expanded businessProvide efficient and effective feedback to all appropriate parties resulting from engagement of Voice of Customer activity
Manage customer information and data; update status of potential or new business opportunities and other sales related information and provide reporting periodically or as requested
Create and/or prepare various reports including status, activity, closings, follow up, and any others
Manage travel and entertainment expenses with diligence and care
Manage account inventory including hold stock, and receivables to optimize the company's cash flow and capacity
Prepare presentations, proposals and price quotations in various formats including PowerPoint
Develop and foster strong working relationships along the operations and distribution continuum and among other key functional units of the organization to optimize effectiveness and efficiency
Participate in the formation of actionable, value added solutions through suggestions and feedback to appropriate staff. Identify and communicate ideas that support best practices in sales
QUALIFICATIONS:
Outstanding communication skills with emphasis on mastery of the spoken word

High technical proficiency including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to PowerPoint. ERP and/or CRM experience is highly beneficial. Proven ability to create, compose and edit written materials that are presentation-ready, aesthetically pleasing and highly effective

Professional image and the ability to effectively represent the company both externally and internally
Self-motivated; self-disciplined; highly driven; fully accountable; deeply engaged
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
4-year degree preferred; emphasis in Business or related field
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Highly articulate communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate on all levels in various formats.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Intermediate to strong math aptitude. Specifically, the ability to create, maintain and adjust to projections, pricing, budgets, forecasts, and others.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to analyze, compare, contrast and synthesize information is important. Ability to process data and information in an organized manner and generate ideas and recommendations is essential.
TRAVEL:
Frequent local travel is required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by a Millcraft Paper Company employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Additional requirements include the ability to walk or navigate about, bend, stoop, squat, push, pull, see, hear, and listen in order to fully perform the functions of this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is moderately quiet to moderately noisy. Work is performed in an office environment or outside the office with existing or potential customers, employees or others. Within the office, floors are both carpeted and tiled. Occasional interaction may occur within the Operations environment wherein noise is moderate to loud and floors are generally concrete. Temperature is moderated by heat in the winter and air conditioning or air circulation methods in the summer.
