No experience is necessary; all training will be provided on the job. However, previous exposure to a manufacturing/industrial environment is helpful.HOURS:6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday through Friday
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Understanding of English language to read work orders
Understanding of ruler
Be willing to be trained to use a micrometer, optical comparator, tape measure and caliper
Understanding of basic math
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, reach overhead and bend to the floor
exert pounds of force occasionally, and/or
exert 20-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or
exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Near acuity are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts
Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT TOOLS:
Specific measurements looked at include:
correct length, quality of cut, quality of weld, coiled properly, cutting and welding correct stock.'
