- BS Accounting or Finance required
- Masters in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration preferred; CPA strongly preferred
- Public Accounting/Healthcare experience preferred
- 5+ years Accounting experience
- 3+ years supervisory or management experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts (GAAP), practices, procedures and financial reports
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, report writing and data presentation
- Ability to successfully lead and engage teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve, multitask and work independently with minimal oversight
- Ability to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion

Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the various processes that produce reliable, accurate and timely financial statements for the Baptist Health Medical Group.
This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing the posting of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, preparing sub schedules and financial analytics, researching accounting guidelines, as well as analyzing financial statement variances and supporting operational leaders by providing relevant and useful financial information.
The position requires a high level of inter-personal skills to establish and enhance positive relations with all levels of management, co-workers, and others.
