    Description
    Assistant Controller / HR Operations

    A local jewelry store is seeking an accounting/HR professional to join their team and handle the day-to-day accounting and HR duties.?In this role, you will be responsible for creating operational strategies, developing procedures, monitoring financial transactions, and preparing budgets and financial forecasts.

    The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree, 3 years of accounting experience, and previous retail, sales, HR, and bookkeeping experience.

    Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm

    Location


    Ala Moana, Honolulu, Oahu

    Pay


    $55,000 to $75,000 a year

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare annual budgets, financial statements, business activity reports, and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor the financial performance of the company.
    • Identify financial trends and implement corrective actions.
    • Handle revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and payment reconciliation.
    • Develop short and long-term operational strategies.
    • Develop expense control procedures to help increase profitability.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, HR, or related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
    • Previous retail operations, sales, HR management, and bookkeeping experience.
    • CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and QuickBooks.
    • Knowledge of current labor laws and HR best practices.
    • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
    • Ability to work with confidential information.
