United Health Services is seeking a Provider Relations Liaison to join our Medical Affairs 02 department at Vestal 3.0 in Vestal, NY.

Overview
The Provider Relations Liaison collaborates with a wide range of people and departments to develop and implement strategies for enhanced provider engagement across the UHS system.
This includes management/coordination of Physician and APP focused activities, events and programs designed to foster relationships, overall engagement, community integration, and retention.
This role acts as an advocate for providers in our medical group and works to create a positive environment and provider experience.
Works with UHS medical staff, administrators, and department managers to improve and enhance communications, patient care, systems, and services to regional and local providers.
Develop, implement, and improve processes that integrate new physicians and APPs into the UHS system, including effective coordination amongst various departments integral to successful onboarding and continued support.
Partners with Provider Talent Acquisition and Human Resources staff to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. Provides support to the Medical Affairs Department as needed.Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of, and accountability for, onboarding defined as signed contract + 18 months of ongoing contact.
- Establish and maintain a standard process for onboarding ALL employed, independent contractors and locums.
- Connect with community resources (realtor, school districts, church affiliations, community groups).
- Medical staff credentialing
- Payor enrollments
- Work with service line director to ensure office space, template set up, equipment, etc.
- Orientation/epic training/assign mentor.
- Marketing/community awareness
- Acts as the primary point of contact Responds to provider questions, identify, and resolve issues with the support of service line directors, medical directors, VP as necessary.
- Continuously monitor onboarding process for improvements.
- Lead provider activities that support retention, such as:
- Social events
- Community integration
- Doctors' Day
- Participate on the UHS Physician Engagement Committee.
- Monitor engagement through regular rounding.
- Provide regular feedback to the recruitment team, service line directors and medical directors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with targeted physician referral sources (Endwell Family Physicians and other independent orgs).
- Project support to the Medical Affairs Department.
- Provides excellent customer service and service recovery to incoming physicians and APPs, existing physicians and APPs and internal stakeholders within a time sensitive, highly professional environment.
- Assists with provider retention activities (group training, communications, onboarding committee meetings, etc.).
- Collaborates with a wide range of departments and employees; serves as a process owner and liaison on behalf of the provider relations team to foster strong working relationships and skillfully coordinate and improve ongoing provider support.
- Communicates effectively, using excellent verbal and written skills as well as demonstrates strong creative problemsolving and conflict management skills.
- Executes appropriate followup to ensure a smooth integration process for new providers. Assists all Providers with postorientation questions or concerns.
- Partners with stakeholder departments to ensure onboarding timelines are achieved, i.e. Malpractice, Medical Staff Privileges, Payor Credentialing, Information Systems, Practice Management.
- Plans offsite networking activities and special events to promote UHS to the Medical Staff.
- Works with the Chief Medical Officer and Community Relations to develop annual marketing goals and objectives for increasing Provider retention.
- Develops and coordinates monthly communications regarding UHS services and events, including new provider panel cards, fax listing, pharmacy listing, and provider directories.
- Maintains active database on regional and local physicians and their office staff, including contact names and information.
- Partner with EPIC Physician Liaison to facilitate new provider Training and Communications activities.
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's degree in in business or related field
- Minimum five years' experience in customer service or healthcare operations
- Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- Experience providing nonclinical concierge support to Physicians and APPs
Minimum Required:
- Possession of the appropriate level motor vehicle license
