Job Summary

1st Shift Mon-Fri 700am-330pm


We are seeking an experienced
Technician 1 for our
Surgery (OR) Team at our
Safety Assessment site located in
Mattawan, MI.

A
Technician
1 is responsible for: administering substances to animals, performing husbandry duties, including cleaning/transporting caging and providing food and water; performing clinical observations of animals to determine morbidity/mortality; collecting and handling data and specimens; euthanizing animals and assisting veterinarians, management, and other company personnel with animal care, study-related tasks, and process improvement initiatives.

The pay for this position is $20/hr USD.

Job Qualifications
The following are minimum
Qualifications related to the
Technician 1 position.

  • HS/GED/Bachelor's degree (preferred, not required) with no experience; contract research organization experience preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions and including ability to learn a validated system.
  • Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to work under specific time constraints.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 60 pounds frequently.
  • Physically able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to include properly fitted respirator.
