    Chief Healthcare Technology Manager (HTM) Service Chief

    Company: VA Medical Center

    In this role, you will take charge of managing the professional and administrative aspects at a VA Medical Center (VAMC) and university-affiliated hospital. Your key responsibilities include supervising technical staff, administrative support staff, and contributing to patient care through healthcare technology.

    • Develop and manage a medical equipment and clinical systems program that meets industry requirements and enhances patient care quality.
    • Oversee a high-impact HTM program that ensures the safe and reliable operation of medical equipment, contributing to cost-effective healthcare delivery.
    • Act as a leader within the VAMC and VISN 2 HTM Service Line, fostering relationships and improving procedures within the healthcare service.
    • Manage VAMC policies related to medical equipment/clinical systems, representing the HTM Service at various meetings and conferences.
    • Provide expertise in medical engineering technology, ensuring the safety, compatibility, and efficiency of clinical systems.
    Work Schedule:

    Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

    Basic Requirements:

    • U.S. Citizenship and proficiency in English.
    • Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Engineering with relevant accreditation.

    Grade Determinations:

    • Ability to manage department resources and balance diverse responsibilities effectively.
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, essential for effective operational management.

    Physical Requirements:

    The job involves various physical activities and demands, including lifting and working in confined spaces. Candidates must be able to meet these requirements.

    Education:

    • A transcript must be submitted with your application if education is used to qualify.
    • Foreign education must be supported by a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency.
