What You'll Do:


  • Develop Requests for Purchase ("RFPs"), evaluate responses to bid requests, and support selection and negotiation with suppliers/vendors for contracts.
  • Navigate and guide complex contracting agreements with suppliers/vendors from selection to final payment. Manage contract resolutions and safeguard the company from contractual or reputational risks.
  • Advise and convey sourcing and procurement strategies for the company.
  • Perform market analysis and evaluate supplier/vendor qualifications, selection, and performance.
  • Work to reduce the total cost of ownership and assist with managing external spend.
  • Maintain disciplined materials management practices, including critical spares.
  • Manage sourcing and procurement logistics for longlead time materials and equipment. Foster key relationships with suppliers/vendors, utility affiliates, and company members.

Sourcing and Procurement:


  • Identify and select suppliers/vendors supplying materials, equipment, and services for the lifecycle process from construction to operation and maintenance, in the utility sector.
  • Develop RFPs and oversee the bid process.
  • Analyze bid requests and provide insight and recommendations for associated risks, considering supplier reliability, market conditions, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Execute purchase orders and purchase requisitions for both standard and longleadtime equipment and materials. Evaluate and refine the company's supply chain processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reductions, and sourcing and procurement performance improvement.

Inventory Management:


  • Supervise warehouse, inventory management, and stocking criteria activities for all standard materials and critical spares.
  • Ensure adequate and continuous stock of essential materials to meet construction and operational requirements while minimizing inventorycarrying costs that tie up capital through direct management or contractor oversight.
  • Develop comprehensive reporting and analysis of materials and equipment and present results to senior company leadership

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Manage contract negotiations with suppliers/vendors and work with company leadership to finalize the necessary terms and conditions that are mutually beneficial.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers/vendors to ensure a steady and reliable supply of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Lead pre
- and post-bid meetings between suppliers/vendors and company leadership and ensure the bid process is conducted efficiently, transparently, and complies with all relevant policies and regulations.


What You Bring:


  • Minimum of five years of supply chain experience with an electric utility.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in negotiating contracts and managing suppliers/vendors.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communications across a supported multifunctional group of project managers, the operations and maintenance team, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen and robust knowledge of managing budgets and costsaving strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, business management, or a related field of study.

Pay:
$130, $145,000.00 per year
