    Position Description:

    The Distribution Center Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and supervising the daily operations and tasks of assigned shifts and employees, focusing on transportation and/or warehouse management. This role involves directly managing warehouse and/or driver associates while working closely with the Distribution Center General Manager to achieve site goals in safety, compliance with company policies and regulations, quality, on-time delivery, accuracy, and cost efficiency. The DC Ops Manager also plays a key role in implementing and executing supply chain strategies and driving continuous improvement at the facility.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage warehouse and delivery associates' day-to-day activities across different shifts.
    • Conduct onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations of employees; address complaints and performance issues.
    • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop staff to foster growth.
    • Conduct daily huddles to set work expectations, enhance engagement, and nurture a positive work culture.
    • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety measures, legal regulations, and operational processes.

    Key Warehouse Function Responsibilities:

    • Plan and oversee warehouse activities to meet daily production targets.
    • Supervise warehouse operations, including loading/unloading trucks, inventory control, and shipment processing.
    • Manage facility maintenance, equipment, and inventory control systems.
    • Promote and monitor safe working conditions among employees.

    Key Transportation Function Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate transportation activities to optimize delivery operations and ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Implement procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency in routing.
    • Monitor vehicle inspections, loading/unloading operations, and customer deliveries.
    • Collaborate with service providers to maintain company vehicles and ensure operational safety.

    Direct Reports:

    • Dependent on the center's size and routes, the Distribution Center Supervisor may oversee warehouse associates, delivery drivers/associates, and DC Leads.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Experience: 2+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in supply chain operations.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Prior experience in a continuous improvement setting is a plus.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:

    • Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and various movements.
    • Work environment exposure to varying weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
    • Travel requirement of 95% within the assigned geographic region.
