Description
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operations.

We have employees working on three shifts, there is a shared responsibility to meet with third shift on a weekly basis.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll:
Process weekly payroll with accuracy through Paycor. Ensure 401k and HSA elections are uploaded to the appropriate sites on time.

Keep a record in the payroll system of all changes to employee information, pay rates, deductions, paid time off, position, status, dates of hire, and dates of termination.


Onboarding/Offboarding:

Responsible for onboarding all new employees, including review and verification of employment documents, review of the employee handbook, and benefits enrollment.

Accountable for consistent experience for all new hires and providing relevant and complete new hire paperwork. Complete necessary offboarding tasks when employees terminate and respond to requests for information related to unemployment.

Personnel Files:
Create and maintain complete and confidential files on each employee. Verify and maintain documentation related to personnel activities such as recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.

Benefits Administration:

Assist with company benefits administration including annual open enrollment, plan questions, claims issues, changes in coverage, new hire enrollment, regulatory notices, and COBRA.


Reporting:
Responsible for annual employee and benefits-related reporting (ACA, 401k, EEO-1, OSHA).

Leaves of Absence:
Manage employee leaves of absence for Worker's Compensation, Disability, FMLA, or other.

Responsible for filing workers' compensation injury claims by filing reports with the insurance provider, maintaining accident information, and monitoring return-to-work progress.


Job Descriptions:
Facilitate the annual review of job descriptions and maintain a current organizational chart. Ensure that managers complete new job descriptions when new positions are created.

HR Policy:
Assist in the establishment and enforcement of HR policies, both in the Employee Handbook and other stand-alone policies. Make recommendations for revisions to policy as needed, to comply with legal or regulatory reforms and/or for continuous improvement.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources or related field/equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment related laws/regulations
Familiarity with HRIS systems like Paycor, Workday and/or Oracle HCM

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality is required

Pay:
$58, $65,040.86 per year
