    Senior Associate, Virtual Construction

    Job Description:

    HITT Contracting Inc. is in search of a committed VDC Senior Associate to be a part of our Virtual Construction team at the Falls Church, Virginia headquarters office in a full-time capacity. This mid-level VDC Senior Associate will take charge of implementing BIM and Virtual Construction technology on a project level. Moreover, they will serve as the main point of contact with subcontractors involved in leading VDC implementation on the project.
    The ideal candidate for this role is someone who pays close attention to detail, is highly organized, performs at a high level, and possesses excellent communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks under various deadlines are crucial for this position.
    Responsibilities
    • Lead BIM coordination across multiple projects with subcontractors by conducting clash detection, organizing coordination meetings, and resolving conflicts.
    • Create a federated coordination model incorporating construction, design, and trade models.
    • Address coordination issues and engage with clients, architects, designers, engineers, subcontractors, and HITT project team to nurture a collaborative environment and effectively manage model-based conflicts.
    • Conduct and process laser scans to spearhead project initiatives including as-built documentation and QA/QC efforts.
    • Utilize reality capture data for progress monitoring and quality control alongside the coordination model.
    • Contribute to developing new and enhanced VDC workflows tailored to project requirements.
    • Lead the documentation, training, and advancement of BIM tools and VDC processes throughout the company.
    • Advocate for the utilization of BIM data throughout the entire project lifecycle, from preconstruction to project completion.
    • Support the marketing department in project pursuits by producing VDC-related graphics, 4D animations, and video presentations.
    Qualifications
    • 3-5 years of practical experience in construction, design, drafting, or engineering.
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, Architecture) or equivalent practical experience.
    • Direct experience in managing BIM coordination projects.
    • Preferred experience in data center, healthcare, or life sciences construction.
    • Proficient in Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
    • Familiarity with FARO Scene, Recap, Fuzor, Synchro, cmBuilder, and Autodesk Construction Cloud is a plus.
    • Ability to comprehend construction documents, shop drawings, and other design communication tools.
    • Passionate about learning and embracing new technologies.
    • Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
