- Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions.
- Consult with teachers, school administrators and other school staff regarding student care.
- Administer medication as required by doctors orders.
- Collaborate with school personnel and parents.
- Provide emergency treatment as needed to staff and students.
- Monitor student immunization records.
- Educate students and staff on health procedures.
- Perform hearing, vision and other health screenings.
- State of Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous school nursing/substitute nursing experience
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Knowledge of school laws and policies
- BLS/CPR and First Aid certifications
- Knowledge of state health regulations
