Description

We are seeking a Medical Assistant who enjoys working with children and their families, while assessing the health needs of their patients.

This is a great opportunity to be a part of a dynamic group of dedicated physicians and support staff working together to make a difference in the lives of the families we serve.

The position will work 32-36 hours a week.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Performs vitals, rooms patients and gathers specimens.
  • Documents necessary information in the EMR.
  • Collects specimens, performs inoffice lab testing and prepares specimens for outside labs.
  • Assists with inoffice patient procedures per protocol and training.
  • Administering immunizations
  • Contributes to the daily upkeep of office space and equipment.
  • Demonstrates and supports PediaTrust Core Values.
  • Performs cleaning and disinfection of instruments and equipment based on practice protocol.
  • Performs digital health workflows and initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Abilities:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)

Certification as a Medical Assistant:

  • Excellent organization and communication skills
-
Strong knowledge and level of comfort with EPIC or other EMR system

Experience in a clinical environment:

  • Computer literacy
  • CPR certification
