Position Purpose (Mission)

Serve as an assistant to the Technologists for the purpose of ensuring patients are prepared for their imaging exam and complete the imaging exam in an effective manner.

Responsibilities, Duties, Functions, Tasks (Outcomes)

Screen patients prior to exam day
Assist the patient in completing paperwork
Obtain medical history from the patient
Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam
Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room
Screen the patient for the exam - mainly MRI and CT exams
Assist the technologist in preparing the exam table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.)
Collate films and deliver to Radiologist
Maintain linen inventory
Assist with quarterly imaging inventory
Research availability and obtain reports and films requested by Radiologist
Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or GED
Must have CPR certification

Prior Experience:

Minimum 0 – 2 years of experience
Experience as a technical assistant, preferred

Bachelor's or Master’s of Science degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, mathematics or physics. 2. 10+ year’s of experience performing technical integration within aviation industry is required. 3. 3+ year’s of experience in aircraft structures and/or systems development preferred. 4. 1+ year’s of experience leading diverse, complex and cross function technical integration projects. 5. Familiarity with the Systems Engineering Disciplines of Systematic Problem Solving, Value Stream Engagement, Requirements Management, and Project Management Best Practices. 6. Experience with engineering quality impacts on the value stream and associated design process challenges. 7. Experience applying Systems Engineering principals in the Aerospace industry. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Working knowledge of aerospace engineering processes, certification requirements, and familiarity with flight test operations. 2. Working knowledge of FAR Part 23/25. 3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project software. 4. Working knowledge of CAD (CATIA preferred) and PLM Systems (TeamCenter preferred) preferred. 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point) is required. 6. Excellent communication skills and a self-starter that takes initiative without supervision. 7. Able to effectively communicate and present to Senior Program and Engineering Leadership. 8. Ability to work independently or within a team oriented environment. Physical Requirements: 1. Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors. 2. Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties. 3. Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.). 4. Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties. 5. Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions. 6. Effectively communicate in Business English language. 7. Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties. 8. Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided “reach assistance technology” or “movement assist technology” (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly’s, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
