THE POSITION:


If you have experience in construction and are seeking an amazing opportunity, the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) is seeking a Construction Project Administrator 1.

In this position, you will be in charge of overseeing building renovations, construction, maintenance, repair, and demolition projects at PSP owned and leased facilities.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


In this position, you will be responsible for the coordination, construction, repair, and renovation projects at PSP owned and leased facilities.

This includes developing architectural plans and specifications, working closely with appropriate PSP bureau or section staff, inspecting work areas to ensure compliance, and preparing advertising requests and proposals.

In addition, you will be responsible for managing, planning, and acquisition of leased offices and storage space. You will also be required to conduct routine physical inspections of all PSP facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment,
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with 30minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Six years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multitrade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities;
    or:
  • Two years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multi-trade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities; and a bachelor's degree in construction technology, architecture, building science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, building automation systems, or a closely related field;
    or:
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years of experience in building construction administration, construction planning, or multitrade building construction project management in commercial or industrial facilities.

Special Requirement:


  • This position requires possession of an active Class C Driver's license.

Additional Requirements:


  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:


  • You must pass criminal history and background investigations if you do not have a current Pennsylvania State Police background on file.
