    We are looking for a Principal Equipment Engineer- Electrical and Controls to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies.

    This role will report to the Director, Equipment Engineering and will be based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.


    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Support manufacturing and development of fuel cell stack manufacturing equipment.
    • Manage day to day equipment issues in a production environment.
    • Ability to make decisions on key technical issues in a demanding environment.
    • Manage multiple projects from maintenance and upgrade of existing machines to specifying, purchasing and set up of new equipment.
    • Provide internal resources for regulatory electrical code and standards which include but are not limited to NFPA 70, 70E, 70B, 79 etc.
    • Train Maintenance personnel in the repair and set up of new machinery.
    • Develop schematics, load calculations, panel layouts, and source components for equipment build in house.

    Education and Experience:

    • BS, or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
    • Extensive years) experience in Equipment Engineering supporting high volume manufacturing.
    • Good hands-on systems integration experience, troubleshooting, and start-up and commissioning of equipment into production environment.
    • Experienced in PLC, HMI, motion control and material handling, including robotics. Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens, Beckhoff, Adept or Epson experience is a plus.
    • Experienced in OPC servers, TCP/IP and industrial network infrastructure setup and maintenance.
    • Experienced in electrical design using industrial machinery standards.
    • Competent in mechanical and pneumatics systems.
    • Superior communication skills, (written, verbal and active listening.)
    • Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self management with little to no oversight
    • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships; Ability to effectively participate on multi-disciplinary teams.
