JOB SUMMARY:


The Quality Control Technician will utilize modern testing equipment and the newest manufacturing systems to ensure high quality fasteners and related products.

Using accurate testing equipment, this individual will ensure compliance with customer specifications.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Perform a variety of parts and product inspections to meet company and customer requirements
  • Responsible for reading blueprints to ensure machined component meets specifications
  • Communicate quality discrepancies to shop supervisors
  • Maintain accurate documentation and inspection logs
  • Must follow detailed direction/work instructions and complete tasks with accuracy
  • Understand the quality control function and importance of accuracy
  • Inspect components with a great amount of detail and document accurately
  • Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations

SKILLS and ABILITIES:


  • Proficiency with inspection gauges and metrology equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and drawings
  • Ability to prepare and complete inspection forms and related documentation
  • Must be detailoriented and accurate

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:


  • Must have high school diploma/GED equivalent; vocational or technical certificate preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of quality control experience; 1 year of experience inspection with metal components required
  • Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting engineering prints and drawings
