Tacoma, WA
The Health Services Division has a Permanent, full time Corrections Specialist 4 (CS4) position available within the Sex Offender Treatment and Assessment Program (SOTAP).
Thisposition's duty station will be located at the Tacoma CJC in Tacoma, WA.
The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor. If you are
currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be

In accordance with Article 4.7 of the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE)
Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), this job opening is available to
internal transfer candidates ONLY. Employees who meet the following criteria may
apply:
You are requesting a transfer under Article 4.7 of the WFSE CBA.
You are a permanent DOC employee.
You currently hold permanent status in the class being recruited for in this job posting.
You are currently in a position represented by WFSE.
Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher
Education Accreditation (CHEA) or foreign equivalent
AND
Two (2) years of demonstrated experience providing individual or group therapy to adult or
juvenile offenders, the mentally ill or sex offenders, which includes six (6) months of work
experience providing mental health treatment and/or therapy specifically to groups.
NOTE:
A Master's degree in a Behavioral Science from an accredited college or university
whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for
Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or foreign equivalent, may be substituted for one (1)
year of demonstrated experience providing individual or group therapy to adult or juvenile
offenders, the mentally ill or sex offenders.
ADDITIONAL CLARIFICATION:
Work experience in mental health treatment and/or therapy to
"groups" is defined as, "group experience where responsibilities have included mental health
treatment and/or therapy planning, mental health program implementation and/or direct delivery
of client mental health services. This work experience may also be obtained during master's
degree program internships."
