Job Description

Expand your professional career as a Maintenance Technician at our client in Newnan, GA. As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain, service, and troubleshoot equipment and site property, adjusting and/or making mechanical and electrical repairs to the machines and equipment in a safe, efficient manner. This is a 1st shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), direct hire opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED
Associates degree, preferred
1 – 8+ years of related experience and/or training
Technical training certificates
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to define problems, collect data, and establish facts
Ability to use hands to finger to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands or arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with pneumatics and principles of compressed air during the job
Identify the basic components used in hydraulic circuits using the basic principles of hydraulics
Understand the schedule rating of pipe and fittings and identify common plumbing fittings and complete orders by name
Install both 120 and 480 volt circuits and other electrical related tasks to include AC and DC power
Troubleshoot air logic systems using schematics
Explain the transmission of force and energy in a hydraulic circuit
Layout order and install all types of plumbing systems including sweat, glued, screwed, and welded connections
Interpret isometric drawings, size pumps for proper flow and head pressure requirements
Use basic plumbing codes for related tasks
Fabricate and install proper plumbing supports, and use proper electrodes for different welding jobs
Wire step-down transformers for all voltages
Read and write electrical schematics
Troubleshoot PLC systems using computer
Install and troubleshoot electric motors and AC/DC drives
Use electrical test equipment to take voltage and current readings and conduct ohm and meggar testing
Perform Arc welding, Mig welding, plasma, and oxy-fuel cutting
Install air logic controls from prints or schematics
Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits containing the following components: check valves, accumulators, cylinders, flow controls, directional control valves, pressure control valves, hydraulic oil coolers, and filters
Identify and explain the difference between the three types of hydraulic pumps
Use knowledge of all fabrication equipment to complete maintenance tasks
Perform other tasks as required
