    Franchise Compliance Specialist

    The Glass Guru is a rapidly growing franchise organization that is headquartered in Plano, Texas. We are currently in a very exciting place in our growth and looking for the right individual to join our team who will assist us, and our independent franchise owner(s) network, in continuing to surpass our wildest expectations.

    Position Overview:
    The Franchise Compliance Specialist is instrumental in fostering a stable, compliant, and successful franchise network, which is vital for achieving the long-term strategic goals of both the Franchisor and Franchisees. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working with or within an independently owned and operated franchise network with a significant compliance and/or paralegal background. The most ideal candidate will be empowered to assist with development and innovation of the department and its capabilities.

    The Franchise Compliance Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Compliance Director.

    We are looking for a team member who can independently succeed in the following areas:
    • Monitor and manage the Franchise Agreement status and processing for all locations assigned
    • Monitor and manage the required reporting by locations and possess the tenacity to ensure follow up to completion
    • Monitor and report the adherence of locations to the Franchise System for training, follow-up, or further action
    • Review and recommend approval or denial of waiver requests and process associated documentation
    • Develop and/or prepare reports to assist in the oversight of location compliance and accuracy of reporting
    • Investigate compliance or legal matters independently with the ability to prepare comprehensive analysis and reports
    • Oversee and manage the collection and preservation of compliance requirements such as vehicle selection, location selection, insurance, financial reporting, etc.
    • Identify the need for corrective action and oversee the official default process in coordination with internal staff upon approval
    • Assist in identifying the need for dispute resolution and assisting with resolution that serves the best interest of all parties while conforming to the Franchise Agreement
    • Maintain positive communication and engage in consistent collaboration with internal staff in support or training of locations
    • Provide training and support to both internal staff and franchise owners on a daily basis while maintaining workload
    • Maintain all internal files and electronic systems as related to franchisee compliance
    • The ability to maintain professional and pleasant engagement with internal staff and locations when dealing often with complex, emotionally charged, and/or critical matters.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, business, or a related field
    • Working knowledge of contract law principals and application
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of Franchisors as relates to franchise sales and franchisee compliance matters
    • Thorough knowledge and direct experience with compliance of proper FTC requirements and FDD disclosures
    • Exhaustive understanding and application of state franchise relationship laws
    • Ability to analyze circumstances to develop and execute an investigate plan to draw conclusions and resolution of matters that are complex and varied - often including financial data
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Ability to communicate in person, over the phone, on video, and in writing in a pleasant and compassionate manner that lends to desired results and maintained relationships
    • Experience with annual FDD review, revision, preparation, and registration/filing is a significant plus

    • The salary for this position may vary based on the candidate's location, experience, and skillset. The Glass Guru Enterprises, Inc. strives to offer competitive compensation that is commensurate with the local cost of living and market conditions. As a result, the final salary package will be determined after considering the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications
    Physical Requirements:
    Ability to stand, walk, and move around for various and sometimes extended periods of time. Capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds infrequently. Must have adequate hearing abilities to effectively communicate with team members and respond to auditory cues and conduct telephonic conversations. Stamina and resilience to handle situations that may be deemed high-stress and/or sensitive and emotionally triggering while interacting with Franchisees.
