- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as necessary to reflect the financial activity of the company.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare and file various tax returns, including income tax, VAT and other regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with planning initiatives and provide support during audits (external/internal)
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred but not required.
- 2-4 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on general ledger accounting and tax compliance.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with accounting software MACONOMY or any equivalent (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations, with experience preparing and filing tax returns.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
