    Primary Objective:


    EDA Engineering position in the Design Enablement (DE) team that will lead the development and support of Synopsys PDK for custom and analog design.


    Major Areas of Accountability:


    Work with internal suppliers in Technology Enablement, Process integration, EDA Vendors, IP suppliers, and colleagues in DE to Specify, Develop, verify, support, and maintain a design flow based on Synopsys tools.

    Technical support for customers using SkyWater PDKs and IP collateral.

    Management of 3rd party PDK developers to ensure correct collateral and accuracy necessary for IC development partners to effectively design into SkyWater technologies.

    Establish task lists, release plans, and schedules to support larger program milestones.
    Implementing Pcell, DRC, LVS additions or modifications to existing kits.
    Working with design, layout, and process engineers to understand and incorporate semiconductor technology requirements into future PDKs.
    Performing other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:
    Minimum

    Qualifications:

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in EE, computer science or related discipline

    Experience:
    7+ years of PDK development experience. Deep experience with writing and qualifying Physical Verification decks (DRC, LVS, PEX). Experience with custom design kit development including creating pcells and technology files.
    Preferred

    Advanced degree in EE, Computer Science or related discipline

    Experience:

    Experience with Cadence design tools:
    Virtuoso(Pcells), PVS, ADE, etc.
    Experience with Siemens Calibre
    Knowledge of Analog design and layout techniques
    EDA tool installation and configuration
    Proficient with scripting on Linux platforms
    Knowledge of Digital design flow (RTL to GDS)
