Description

A Global Manufacturing Company located in the Greater Akron area is looking to hire a Senior Analyst to focus on budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting surrounding inventory, warehousing, and freight costs. Reporting to the Head of Operations Finance, the Senior Cost Analyst will be responsible for the following:

Evaluate company freight charges, reviewing variances from budget and identifying cost saving opportunities
Work closely with Supply Chain to evaluate cost drivers across various warehousing and manufacturing sites
Analyze inventory costs, including costs of materials, working capital considerations, and inventory ratios to provide insight into monthly costs and provide guidance to operational leadership
Prepare detailed reporting and analysis to senior leadership monthly
Work with procurement to evaluate cost drivers and identify areas of opportunity
Assist with the monthly close including performing reconciliations and calculating accruals
Manipulate large amounts of data to identify relationships within the numbers
Assist with budgets and forecasts
Identify ways to streamline processes and create efficiencies across the manufacturing finance area
Utilize SAP and Power BI to increase visibility into the costing function and create automated reports

The Senior Cost Analyst must possess the following:

BS in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of financial analysis and reporting experience, with exposure to supply chain
Strong understanding of inventory, warehousing, and freight
SAP and Power BI knowledge preferred
Excellent Excel skills
