Job Summary:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all rooms, common areas, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition in line with hotel standards.
  • Recruit, train, and manage housekeeping staff, ensuring they meet the hotel's standards of excellence. Provide continuous training and development opportunities to staff.
  • Schedule staff shifts, considering peak times and seasonal variations, to maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently met.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and uniforms, ensuring adequate levels are maintained and budget constraints are adhered to.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and address any cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Implement and maintain a housekeeping program that meets health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and manage the housekeeping department's budget, ensuring costeffective operations.
  • Handle guest complaints related to cleanliness and housekeeping services, taking immediate corrective action as necessary.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest trends in housekeeping and cleaning technologies, incorporating innovative practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and hotel management software.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards and regulations related to housekeeping and hospitality.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to providing high standards of cleanliness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in hotel management, business administration, or relevant field is preferred.

Pay:
$70, $80,000.00 per year
