    Join Our Team as a Full-Time Accounts Payable Specialist (Hybrid) at New Avenues to Independence

    Position Overview:


    As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our finance team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciliations, and payments.

    You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external vendors to maintain efficient and accurate accounts payable processes.

    Cleveland, OH free parking)

    Type:
    Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 WFH), Hourly

    Schedule:
    M-F, day shift

    Reports to:
    Director of Finance


    Key Responsibilities:
    Prepare and process electronic payments, checks, ACH and wire transfers
    Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
    Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
    Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely payments and address inquiries
    Maintain accurate records and documentation related to accounts payable
    Assist in month-end closing activities and financial reporting as needed
    Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the AP function
    Assist in annual audits and provide requested information to auditors

    Requirements:

    1+ years of experience in accounts payable or relevant finance roles
    High School Diploma or equivalent required
    Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

    Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., W-9's, 1099's)


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
