Schedule:
Part-time, 4 hours per week - Wednesday and Thursday

Pay: 20/hr

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Health Aide (HHA) to assist an 86-year-old married woman who has recently moved to New York from.

The client lives with her spouse, who is her primary caregiver, and their daughter, who assists with bathing.

Responsibilities:

Assist the client with bathing and personal hygiene.
Provide support with basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing and grooming.
Help the client move safely, considering her shuffling gait and occasional use of a cane or wheelchair.
Manage incontinence care, including the use of incontinence pads.
Offer companionship and engage the client in stimulating activities to improve her mood and prevent crankiness.
Accompany the client on short outings to give her spouse a break and provide a change of scenery.
Monitor the client's overall wellbeing and report any concerns to the family.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) with at least 2 years of working experience
Experience working with elderly clients, particularly those with cognitive impairments and mobility issues.
Ability to manage incontinence care with sensitivity and professionalism.
Strong communication skills and the ability to provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities.
Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
Physical ability to assist with transfers and mobility as needed.
