Gaming Machine Technician

SUPERVISOR: Gaming Tech Supervisor EXEMPT (Y/N): No

SUMMARY: Summary: Responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs of all Class II gaming machines. Responsible for a high level of quest service as well as perform repairs on an advanced level. (Areas of responsibility, but not limited to).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBLITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Must be able to communicate and work with all departments.
Follow all casino policy and procedures.
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all Class II gaming machines.
Make sure that all machines and equipment are in compliance with all NIGC and internal regulations 100% of the time.
Responsible for maintaining accurate records on pass down logs, PM logs, M.E.A.L. card, etc.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate attendance record.
Must be able to diagnose equipment to the component level.
Have the knowledge to read and understand electronic schematics.
Perform all machine installations, conversions, moves, and all major repairs of all associated equipment at an advanced level.
Safely and effectively operate shop tool, electronic equipment, and soldering equipment.
Must be able to answer a call within a 3 minute time frame.
Have the ability to complete machine moves/setup and release with little supervision.
Handles assigned projects with little supervision.
Can understand and use the parts system, and communicates with the Tech Supervisor on required parts for repair.
Other duties assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Tribal preference.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or G. E. D. One or more years related experience and/or training or combination of education and experience. AA degree from a 2 year college or a diploma from a technical/gaming school and at least 1 year of Slot Technician experience required; or have an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must be able to read operator manuals and complete projects with minimum supervisions.

WORK CONDITIONS
Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to perform duties in a kneeling position. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 1⁄2 mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Also may be subjected to a smoke filled environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. and 100 lbs. with assistance on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
