For a public institution based in Bonn, we are currently seeking a Head (m/f/d) of the IT Infrastructure department (No to join our team in Wachapreague, VA as soon as possible within the framework of temporary employment (initially limited to 18 months, with the option of permanent employment).

Your responsibilities:

Management of the department with a current staff of 30 employees
Monitoring of the IT infrastructure and central hardware for IT products and applications, ensuring smooth operations
Coordination of external IT service providers
Ensuring the processes of 2nd level support and monitoring
Management and monitoring of processes for monitoring, lifecycle management, Active Directory, GPOs, and more.

Your profile:

Successfully completed university degree (Diploma (Uni)/Master) in the field of IT or equivalent knowledge and experience
Several years of professional experience in a similar position with leadership experience
Experience in managing external service providers
Indepth knowledge and experience in coordinating and managing IT infrastructure operations
Knowledge and experience in ITILoriented service management
Proficient in standard applications such as MS Office
Experience in Microsoft client and server operating systems, Exchange and SQL servers, data center infrastructure, network and firewall technology
Technical English skills are desirable
Strong planning and organizational skills, business acumen, and the ability to think and work creatively and conceptually complete your profile
