Position Overview:


We are currently seeking a Talent Management Manager reporting to the VP, Talent Management & Organizational Development in North Bethesda.

Talent Management Manager will help drive the design, implementation, training and facilitation of innovative, creative, and scalable high-impact learning to drive outstanding business performance at ESAB.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to build transformational cultural, leadership, and organizational solutions. You will also be able to seek out new innovative solutions and implement them where they make sense.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assesses companywide developmental needs to drive and deliver training initiatives and identifies and creates suitable training solutions for employees.
  • Conducts annual training and development needs assessment via data gathering, focus groups and interviews with senior leaders.
  • Drives the design, development, delivery, evaluation, and administration of various training and development programs (including supervisor and manager leadership training, new manager curriculum, diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI)) and ensures training effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
  • Leads and facilitates both inperson and virtual training.
  • Creates training metric scorecards to communicate and track effectiveness of training solutions.
  • Manages the communication, and administration of scheduling and registration to track employee training participation and progress.
  • Manages vendor relationships for learning offerings such as development courses, workshops, coaching, etc.
  • Researches and keeps informed on learning & talent management trends and best practices.
  • Supports management and delivery of DEI training and engagement programs to support ESAB's DEI goals.
  • Works across functions (Legal, IT, Environmental, Health & Safety, HR & Audit) to develop a global calendar of compliance learnings and trainings.
  • Assesses opportunities to link learning and development to talent management, including recommending curated curriculum to support employees in new or expanded roles, and supporting leaders in managing effective teams.

Qualification (Required & Preferred):

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (HR, Organizational Development Learning/education, Psychology, Communications)
  • 34 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Proficient in project management
  • Will be able to deliver virtual & instructorled courses to employees across all levels (executive, management, individual contributors) using different delivery methods.
  • Certifications in Crucial Conversations, Crucial Accountability and Situational Leadership preferred.
  • Certifications in Facet5 or Myers Briggs preferred.
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing learning & development.
  • Fluency in data analysis using Excel tools (pivot tables, XLOOKUP) and being able to analyze and present findings via PowerPoint and other formats to business stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills, editing, listening, and presentation skills with an ability to clearly communicate and influence complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way to internal stakeholders.
  • Fluency with online development tools and multimedia platforms coupled with the ability to quickly selfteach new technology/software.
  • Proven criticalthinking and analysis skills and ability to use data to develop insights and strategies.
  • Ability to successfully work within a team environment and independently.
