Description
Position Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily operations of the Federal Probation program, including staff supervision and scheduling, ensuring that services are in clinical and administrative compliance with contractual standards and OAR regulations, performance objectives, ethical standards, and best practices.
May also provide treatment services to a small caseload of program participants and provide in-court clinical information to assist the Federal Drug Court teams in making decisions on program participants' care.
The Clinical Supervisor will be in a Saturday rotation with other supervisors to provide managerial support of Saturday services.
The Clinical Supervisor provides liaison duties as needed to the Federal Drug court team as needed and is responsible for the training, development, and support of the VOA staff acting as court liaison providing in-court clinical support and expertise to assist the Drug Court team in making decisions on program participant's care with other judicial offices, treatment providers, and social service agencies to aid in the preparation of daily treatment court reports and other clinical matters.
Education, Training and Experience:
Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or social work, and CADC II or above is required.
Mental Health Licensure preferred. If not yet licensed, agreement to obtain license within 3 years of hire.
Meet OARs requirements as a clinical supervisor for substance abuse treatment.
Experience in fully supervising treatment services.
Demonstrated expertise in addictions treatment particularly harm reduction.
Experience with evidence-based treatment approaches including motivational interviewing, and other cognitive-based practices.
Knowledge and experience with at-risk populations, adolescence developmental issues, criminal behavior, gang impacted youth and family systems, and dual diagnosis.
Experience working in correctional settings preferred.
Knowledge of criminogenic risk factors, key competencies and best practices preferred.
Competencies:
Knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multicultural and diverse socioeconomic situations.
Mission-focused and passionate, with an emphasis on effective use of evidence-based practices.
Ability to collaborate and problem solve within a cross functional environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and electronic medical records (EMR's).
Excellent organizational skills.
Leadership and change management skills.
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
Ability to drive to offsite locations using own vehicle.
An active driver's license, current insurance, a reliable vehicle and ability to pass our insurer's driving standards.
Ability to pass criminal background check.
If in recovery, able to demonstrate at least two years of continuous sobriety under nonresidential, independent living conditions for the immediate past two years.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily program operations in compliance with ISSRs, contract requirements, and best practices.
Provide clinical supervision, scheduling, and support professional development for program staff.
Attend weekly staffing, monthly Operations/Policy Group, and other meetings with Federal probation partner organizations.
Build and retain a strong team.
Work with Outpatient Director to establish target outcomes and implement strategies to meet outcomes.
Represent Federal Probation within VOA and the community in a way that promotes mutually respectful, positive, and professional partnerships.
Provide direct services to a small caseload of Federal probation clients.
Provide in-court drug court liaison duties as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
Other duties as assigned by the Outpatient Clinical Director.
Supervisory:
Position is responsible for supervision of 6 or more employees.

Environmental Conditions:
Works in a professional treatment center.
Must be prepared to handle client crises and/or emergencies.
Requires local travel to attend court and meetings.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position; 40 hours per week; Tuesday through Saturday. This position is on-site, with the possibility of some remote work hours once fully trained.
