Mariposa CalWORKs Behavioral Health Services Program provides culturally competent outpatient behavioral health services and psycho-education to participants of the Orange County Social Services Agency California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids Program (CalWORKs), the county's welfare-to-work program service families with dependent children. Mariposa's CalWORKs program aims to increase the family's capacity for self-sufficiency by offering time-limited interventions and support to reduce and/or overcome identified barriers to employment.

Essential Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Under the direction of the CalWORKs Program Director, assist with administration of Mariposa's CalWORKs Behavioral Health Program.
  • Work in conjunction with the CalWORKs Program Director to ensure that program functions at "best practices" level in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral health program initiatives.
  • Ensure employees follow all Agency policy and procedures.
  • Prepare necessary statistical documentation and assist Program Director in collection and tracking of data required for County reports.
  • Monitor program metrics and prepare reports for submission to Program Director in compliance with program deadlines.
  • Assist in quality assurance activities, including audits, evaluations, and program reviews.
  • Assist in developing programmatic and administrative improvements in meeting Program Objectives by tracking, quantifying, and analyzing client progress in the CalWORKs Behavioral Health Services program.
  • Support compliance with documentation guidelines, service delivery and program performance objectives.
  • Maintain organized records and database related to program activities.
  • Monitor and assist with maintenance of the electronic health records system to ensure staff have the support and guidance necessary to perform at best practice level.
  • Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and training of clinical and clerical support staff.
  • Develop and maintain clear, open, timely, cooperative, and diplomatic communications and working relations with all staff and partner agencies.
  • Participate in case conferences, treatment team and staff meetings, inservice trainings, and other staff development activities.
  • If qualified, may carry a small caseload.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Director.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATION

  • Master's degree preferred or B.A. degree and, or minimum of 3 plus years of experience in mental health/social service setting as a specialist in quality assurance and quality improvement.
  • Prior related experience with county or county contract and HCA electronic health records.
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to work with, manipulate, and interpret high volume data (e.g. Excel, Access, software etc.) preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively which includes crisis response and a capacity to manage time well.
  • Ability to work independently and with others while maintaining a high level of ethical and professional practice in accordance with agency and community policy.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication required.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft WORD, Excel and Outlook) and data/electronic records program in use.
  • Minimum 2 years sobriety if recovering alcoholic/drug addict.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Position is
subject to background clearance including Live Scan.

CPR certificate and TB test required.

  • Salary Range: Generally starting at $32 $37 per hour. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. _

Pay:
$ $37.00 per hour
