Student Records Coordinator - Chicago, United States - Northwestern University
Description
This is a 20 hour per week position: 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday with a hybrid schedule: Monday to Wednesday in-office and remote Thursday and Friday.
Specific Responsibilities:
Financial Aid Award Processing:
- Provide quality assurance for financial aid packages during data entry, ensure proper document workflow while initiating and assisting to resolve any issues.
- Assist with autopackage testing for applicable programs.
Communicating Financial Aid Awards:
- Dataenter, proof, and release all initial financial aid award notices for schools and programs served by the Chicago Office of Financial Aid.
- Ensure all awards are released properly and are received by students.
- Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to: backup of Administrative Assistant position as needed, including but not limited document linking and image organization and perform or assist with any special projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
(Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of administrative support or other relevant experience required.
- One year of dataentry or other relevant experience required.
Minimum Competencies:
(Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong editing and proofreading ability.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with little supervision.
- Collaborative and works well in a crossfunction team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
(Education and experience)
- Successful completion of a full 4year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Prior work experience in a university setting.
- Prior work experience with imaging system is preferred.
- Prior work experience with Quality Assurance is preferred.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel
Preferred Competencies:

- Experience working with federal (Title IV) financial aid policies and procedures
- Target hiring range for this position will be between $22.00$24.00 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data._
