Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
Planning, Analyzing & Evaluating:
- Assist teams by leading resource discussions, advise talent assignments by evaluating appropriate skillsets for the tasks, and by assessing utilization and capacity data.
- Examine all possible internal resourcing solutions by working with Resourcing Director, senior leaders and other stakeholders.
- Assist teams when working with new talent through regular checkins to surface and then solve any knowledge gaps or processes hiccups.
- Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming projects and proactively address any possible resourcing issues in collaboration with team lead.
- Assess PTO reports and work with individuals to ensure PTO coverage plans are in place.
Team Leading, Coordinating, Managing:
- Monitor day to day project activities and resourcing, identifying potential instances of underutilization or overutilization and actively work with senior leadership to address and solve those issues.
- Work with project leads to anticipate project timeline delays and adjust staffing needs accordingly to avoid downstream impacts to profitability, capacity and ability to start other projects.
- Manage and resolve resource booking conflicts.
- Champion processes and internal systems for higher efficiency.
- Design day 1 onboarding schedule and serve as orientation lead for new employees. Is point of contact/liaison with incoming talent, orchestrating day 1 onboarding.
- Develop deep familiarity with talent skill sets and workload within the teams, and keep a regular candence of connectivity.
- Ensure a diversity of project experiences for consulting staff aligned with professional development goals to foster skill building and engagement.
- Develop a deep understanding of resource management software and have the ability to assess data and reports.
Financial & Administrative:
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding process
- Enter initial planned hours for assigned resources and maintain resource management tool with updates provided by project leads
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience:
- 1 to 2 years in Resource Management or Project Management in a consulting environment
Skills:
- Has strong reporting skills using Excel and other resource management tools
- Possesses a working knowledge of engagementbased consulting resource requirements
- Possesses an appreciation for the pace and rigor of a consulting environment
