Position Summary

The Contracts and Warranty (C&W) Analyst is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating agreements and warranty management processes within Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Technical Operations departments. The analyst will track and analyze agreement and warranty savings and avoidances, warranty claim success rates, and other supplier contractual data. The Analyst owns the quality of agreement and collects the warranty related data and collaborates with Purchasing & Repairs and other Technical Operations (Tech Ops) teams to ensure suppliers perform to contractual and warranty terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate in resolving issues with supplier agreements, operational performance, Service Bulletin claims and warranty claims. Maintain agreements and warranty repositories.
• Work closely with supplier on-site representatives and effectively communicate contractual issues and warranty claims.
• Research, prepare and analyze data in support of warranty claims, commercial contractual claims, and service bulletin/ modification claims.
• Maintain full understanding of Supply Chain related requirements of each supplier agreement such as rates, warranty terms, and Terms and Conditions (T&Cs), etc.
• Assist in the review of supplier agreements with Sourcing & Procurement and Vendor Performance Management (VPM) and participate in supplier contractual negotiations to ensure best practice warranty clauses are included to support Supply Chain operational requirements.
  
• Maintain the monthly C&W program charts to include summary of claims submitted and approved.
• Collaborate with Purchasing & Repairs, Maintenance and Engineering teams by escalating contractual issues, repetitive part discrepancies and persistent warranty denials with supplier. Ensure repetitive discrepancies are escalated to the supplier and resolved accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in SCM Supplier weekly status meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR)/ Supplier meetings.
• Provide accurate updates to the SCM leadership team on supplier warranty claims and agreements.
• Review SCM inputs and prepare the SCM portion of the Supplier operating procedures manuals (OPMs).
• Maintain the SCM C&W Standard Operating Processes (SOP).
• Establish and facilitate C&W awareness training.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement projects to refine agreement requirements to achieve cost savings and other value for the company. Participate in best practice benchmarking for process improvement. Substantiate and track the benefits.
• Other duties as assigned or directed.

Minimum Requirements

• Understanding of warranty, guaranty, performance guarantees, and liquidated damages.
• Possesses analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
• Excellent written skills to draft contract clauses and consolidate team member edits/ comments.
• Accuracy and attentive to details to identify contract and warranty errors and inconsistencies.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support activities related to aircraft maintenance support and resolving supplier issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Share Point, Microsoft Teams, and other business/ ERP/MRP systems.
• Highly organized with ability to multi-task and work independently with self-directed decision-making confidence and limited guidance in a face paced environment.

Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidate's experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $91,000 - $111,000.

Preferred Qualifications

• Airline, Aviation, or MRO experience.
• Knowledge of procurement of goods and services and working with suppliers/vendors.
• Experience in data mining and analysis.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and making data and analysis-based recommendations.
