    Description


    About the job Medical Front Desk Specialist This successful and growing Dermatology practice is seeking a warm, energetic, extroverted team player with excellent attention to detail to serve as a Front Desk Specialist in its Mechanicsville office.

    Prior medical experience is helpful but not required - we are willing train the right candidate. Good typing, computer skills and a background in customer service is strongly desired.

    Successful candidates should be professional, punctual, reliable and accountable for quality of their work; be warm, kind and friendly yet efficient and comfortable working as part of a team.


    The Front Desk Specialist is responsible for:
    greeting and registering patientsverifying insurancespatient check-in/check-outscheduling appointments in person and over phonetaking co-paysanswering phonesmanaging referralsentering demographicsother general office duties as requiredApplicants must have:Prior medical office experience, preferredProficient computer skills including strong typing skills
    • Candidates are required to complete a typing assessment for consideration.
