- Request, upload, and retrieve patients' medical records from outside healthcare facilities and reviews them for accuracy and completeness, including pathology reports, outside medical records, radiology reports and images.
- Obtain, verify, and update patient information by updating, adding, and editing patient records and imaging exams into various EMR systems following departmental guidelines.
- Maintain daily written or electronic documentation of completed work in order to provide clarity for future workflow evaluations.
- Prepares and processes correspondence of routine and STAT medical inquiries while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Any and all duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year computer experience in a medical office setting.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clerical procedures.
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Strong time management and organizational skills for use in a high volume, deadline driven environment.
- Computer and other basic office equipment skills including basic network/ file management.
- Technical skills and knowledge to request, upload and maintain patient records.
- Ability to gain understanding of various types of documents, correspondence, and the processes for various lines of imaging fulfillment as well as analyzing the content of documents.
- Proven ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to manage fluctuating volumes of work.
- Competent in a variety of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Multitasking abilities and attention to detail and accuracy with little room for error is a must.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
- Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.
- Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.

JOB SUMMARY:
Imaging Fulfillment Specialist, PET/CT will work closely with the Imaging Department's physicians/radiologists and clinical staff, perform and manage accurate and efficient image and record management, follow through on critical imaging and patient records requests, fulfill imaging requests, index and process documents within the Imaging Department and other duties assigned by director and supervisor.
