    Role: Network/System Administrator

    Location: Hybrid in Tucson, AZ - onsite Tuesday & Wednesday (downtown)

    Duration: 12 month contract with extensions & renewals every April

    Pay Rate: $25-$31 per hour

    Interview Process: 2 rounds (virtual)

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 1+ years of Network & Firewall experience.
    • Firewall administration experience.
    • Firewall management control tools.
    • ITIL change control tools exposure.
    • Familiarity with LAN/WAN concepts and protocols.
    • Exposure to server automation tools such as: Atomic, Ansible Router configuration experience

    Nice to Have Skills & Experience

    • Cisco experience Palo Alto experience

    Day to day:

    A local utilities company is seeking a System Administrator to join their operations team. As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing their network infrastructure. If you're passionate about technology, eager to learn, and have a strong foundation in system administration, you'd be the perfect fit

    • Server Management: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, including physical and virtual machines. Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal functionality. Collaborate with senior administrators to implement best practices for server security and stability.
    • Network Administration: Support LAN-based applications, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Monitor network activity and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Assist with the administration of network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
    • Firewall Management: Configure and maintain firewalls to safeguard network traffic. Collaborate with the security team to establish and enforce policies related to network security. Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents.
    • Hardware and Software Maintenance: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades. Troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and incidents. Generate reports on network performance and security.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to resolve complex issues. Communicate effectively with end-users to address technical concerns.
