Description

We are seeking to fill the following position at Ames as soon as possible.

The future incumbent should have an outstanding, internationally visible research profile and be highly qualified in a field of statistics.

The research activities should demonstrate potential for integration with the research of the Department of Mathematics and other departments at the University of Tübingen.

As the professorship will play a key role in teaching mathematical bachelor's and master's programs (science and education), the future incumbent should have a broad expertise in teaching statistics (probability theory and mathematical statistics).

The willingness to acquire third-party funding and to participate in joint third-party projects with the Department of Mathematics and related departments at the University of Tübingen, as well as a reasonable involvement in teaching duties, are expected.

In addition, participation in the academic self-administration of the Department of Mathematics and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences is expected.

The prerequisite for employment is a habilitation or equivalent qualification, as well as demonstrated didactic aptitude.
